    Hey folks,
I got rear ended a few weeks ago- not bad, the bumper and right side brackets need replacement.

I’m thinking of an aftermarket but don’t want to spend big money- maybe up to $750 for bare metal then get it coated.

It’s not a trail truck. Anyone have experience with anything in the price range? USA made only.

    TIA :hattip:

Can't say I have any good suggestions as most aftermarket steel bumpers are at least $750 for something of good quality. Most others that cost less are what I'd gently describe as eBay/Amazon quality.

Here's one in your generalized region on the TW marketplace for Free-99 but might need some work, though since it's free even if you had to pay for shipping it wouldn't hurt too bad. Or keep a watch on Craigslist, FB Marketplace, junkyards, etc.

If you can weld you can get one in your price range. The kit bumpers such as Coastal Offroad run 500-800, but you have to put them together.

If you are willing to drive (northern, northern Wisconsin) and shovel snow (in my lawn mower shed...) I have a 2015 complete rear bumper that you can have...

4xinnovations actually has their ‘bolt on rear bumper’ on sale right now in your price range. It follows the stock bumpers curves more than some others.
Made in the USA as well!

I went with the black oem replacement ~$240 with a couple a la carte supports that I needed.

A lot of the cheaper aftermarket bumpers mount to the factory hardware/tow bracket. The better, actual off road ones mount to the frame in place off the tow bracket. Make sure what ever you damaged isn't a problem for what you get.

It comes with a new class 3 hitch included/welded on. You ditch the original hitch.

I can ditch the actual hitch without a hitch :D

    Many thanks!

I put the rear 4xInnovations on my truck. It bolted right up but was not pleasing to the eye. With some additional work using a spacer in the forward bottom mount and vertically slotting the side mounting holes with a rotary carbide file, I made it pleasing to the eye. Other than that it's well built and has a 3000 lb rated receiver. It appears underrated for towing compared to the factory bumper.
I did have it galvanized by AZZ before I painted it and it made it through the first Minnesota winter without rusting.

I took it off last year after i built a Coastal Offroad one for the truck. Here is a picture on the truck:

    bumper stock.jpg

As you can see, I have done the trailer hitch plug relocation-the factory light I have but probably won't fit right anymore. Factory trailer hitch included. You will need your bolts. It is in good shape. Been in the shed for a couple of summers now. The shed door has 4' of snow in front of it right now... be better in a month or so. Yours for the asking.

Or were you asking about the Coastal Offroad???

I'll take it mine is just the chrome no metal left.

I'll have to set up a TWexpress to get it down here, which shouldn't be hard
