I have 2014 Tacoma 4.0 trd sport. I’m chasing that deep v8 sound and while Ik it’s only a v6 I want to make it sound the best I can. I want the deepest, throaty exhaust notes possible with no rasp or crackling, I’d rather it sound deep and good rather than be loud and raspy. I was looking at the flow master super hp2 and wondering if that would sound good? Anybody run this setup? Would the shorty 12” or 18” sound better? Anybody have different suggestions to get a good deep sounding Tacoma v6?

I installed a flowmaster deltaflow 50 series on my 2011 4.0. It is deep and has a nice rumble at low rpm's without drone on the highway. Definitely look up sound clips on youtube.

I did a flowmaster Super 50. It sounds decent, no drone and not obnoxious but you will not get this engine to sound like a v8. I would stick around the 50 series deltaflow to the Super 50.

Here is a pretty good comparison video of various exhaust systems, I'm running the Magnaflow Catback on mine and I like it. Your not gona get a V8 sound from the 4.0L but almost anything is better than the stock "no sound" exhaust IMO, I couldn't hardly tell mine was running with the stock system other than the engine noise.

Whatever sound you end up with, it will likely appeal to enthusiasts who "hot rod" rice rockets, and will never replace the "deep V-8 sound" you are looking for. unobtanium LOL

I second the Flowmaster 50 series. I have the 50 series HD. Gives you some rumble and isn't obnoxious.
