After VCG replacement, what is general consensus wait time before full-go driving?

FIPG says 1-2 hours to set up. 16 hours until fully rubberized.

Just wanting to know how long people are waiting before driving?

If it matters: 96 extcab 3.4L auto

I usually just wait till the next day. Also current temp in your area will make a difference.

Right away? The heat from the engine will help cure any sealant.

I let it sit for 12 hours then let the engine idle for 15 min then light drive for 5. I always want to make sure the RTV dries before i start normal stop go driving again.

Did it yesterday. But now I’m out of town for a week. Do you think It matters if I don’t start it for that long after install?

MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I was wheeling in Co last month and blew a cv axle seal, since I didn’t have tools I brought it to the dealership. They also noticed a cracked valve cover. I had them replace the cover and both seals. I drove it about 30 minutes to a friends house, spent the night and then drive 12 hours. No problems

    Right on.

I had my wife (who is home) turn it over, let it idle for 5 min. Didn’t spew oil or throw any codes. Hopefully, that’s good enough sign.

Straight off the box (Toyota FIPG):

Remove all the old FIPG material from gasket surface and sealing groove
Clean all components to remove all loose material
Clean both sealing surfaces with a nonresidue solvent
    Apply seal packing
Assemble parts within 15 minutes after application
Engine may be started in 1 to 2 hours
Hardens to become rubberlike in 15 to 16 hours.
