I just bought a 2019 Tacoma and in time want to do a bunch of modifications to it like anybody else. But this is my first newer model truck and am not used to all the parking sensors, the BSM, and the reactive cruising control. So my question would be what codes would be thrown or what problems would you run into with installing an aftermarket front bumper and how to go about installing it with the ability to avoid any issues I could potentially run into and possibly keep the sensors installed?

    Hey welcome to TW!

The TSS in the front is located in the grille, so as long as the front bumper doesn't block it you should be in the clear. Tho I've heard some people have gotten away with a bull bar in front of sensor without any issue. As for the back up monitoring system sensors, some aftermarket bumpers accommodate this either by having the cut outs already or by removing them. Do some research on the armor you want, then follow it up with some more research. Reach out to the manufacturer ask some questions. Then proceed to purchase and install.

Awesome! Just wasn’t sure if there was a bunch of sensors in the bumper it’s self but if it’s in the grille that takes away all of my worries since I’m looking at ones without bull bars or low profile ones haha, but thanks a bunch I really appreciate it!

Oh yeah no worries with a low pro. The only wiring in the front bumper is for fog lights I believe.

Sweet, well that’s a plus since I mean I’d probably end up splicing the wiring int that case into some after market pods sometime along the way.

Rear bumper does however contain a bunch of sensors if you have bsm and rear sonar. My C4 rear bumper accommodates both, however I don’t think they make that style anymore.

Yeah I think they don't support the two sensors on the corners anymore, but they cut out the other sensors for some reason? I'm not too sure, I don't have my BSM engaged really ever, but I am leaning towards that rear bumper eventually.

Yeah exactly. The one I have now has the square corners cut out for the bsm sensors. The circular holes are for the reverse sonar and I believe they still support that. I will say it’s a bit tricky getting those rear sonar sensors aligned well. Every once and awhile mine will trigger when nothing is behind me.
