aFe Power Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System—Anyone Using This?

Curious about this air filtration setup and feedback from anyone with it underhood.
Your impression on cost vs performance gain over stock or TRD, quality, ease of install, etc.

I’ve not seen any evidence that aftermarket “cold air intakes” increase performance.

 

You’re paying for noise and nothing else.

 

No surprise, eh? The HP & torque claims do look bogus on the site. $$ better spent elswhere.

 

Unless you want it because you think it looks cool, then just hop up the stock airbox with a better filter, intake tube and the TRD accelerator inlet.

Happy with the route I chose: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/drizzohs-21-off-road-build.748190/page-6#post-27527360. Still doesn't add any power, but the truck is noticeably smoother with the upgrades. HPS also makes a silicone intake tube if you wanted to go that route.
