Pretty rare right now. Never installed. I bought it secondhand from a guy that also never installed it. Harness included.

Someone who has experience with the FIC/6 could probably make this work. I've read that when setup correctly, it is a couple of notches above the 7th injector in terms of what it is capable of. But wiring it into the ECU looks like it could be a nightmare. It's definitely not a complete kit.

This is a complete kit as it is sold from AEM.

It’s well documented on here that these units work well for tuning supercharged or turbo systems. There are even good write ups for making your own harness to wire into ECU. Boomslang used to(or maybe still does) make a plug and play harness specific to ECU per year model. My plan was to make my own harness from a busted ECU.

There are pros and cons to every tuning system for aftermarket boosted vehicles. the 7th injector is limited to just that… the 7th injector.

This unit can tune all of your injectors, even larger Supra injectors. Or it could be used to control a turbo system. This gives much more freedom for tuning and doesn’t cost $3000+ like haltech. It’s a budget solution for a widespread problem with documented tutorials and proof of reliability once up and running.

Supercharged, AEM FIC/6, Meth Inj, ION Alloy's, Radio & Phone steering Wheel controls,Fabtech AAL, Billie's wrapped with 880's , Tundra big brake conversion, bully bars and Pioneer DDin Stereo/dvd with exterrnal usb ports. 290K and going strong.
Works good with supercharger on mine. Like said it's no haltek. There's a guy that makes harnesses alot cheaper then no boomslang. I purchased one for my truck and had the harness wires made longer then normal. Allowed me to fold the bulky plug connections up on top of stock ecu. I run my fic6 under the right kick panel. It's a tight fit but it can be done. I'll have to dig up the info on the harness guy

I’d be interested in knowing more about the guy that made your harness and what his ballpark pricing was. It may help educate potential buyers.

This is exactly what I’m looking for for my turbo build.. does anyone know if this harness is compatible with my ecu? It’s a 2004 Tacoma v6 (5vz) 4wd manual

Ahhh okay gotcha. I thought I got lucky and it already came with the harness. I’m really not trying to spend $700 on a boomslang

You don’t have to do that. You can make your own from a free(or nearly free) burned up ECU.

edit: or you could hit up @mechanicjon for info on his harness builder

I swear by this thing - FAR FAR FAR better than the URD 7th injector computer. Just be weary of DIY writeups. A good few I've seen are misleading. Follow the actual AEM instructions on this. You will likely need a few resistors, etc for part of the wiring.
