I know everyone asks what lift will work on my truck. That's what I Want some input on also but I don't see many people concerned with towing much. I want a 2-3 inch lift and I want to keep close to the factory rake. I tow my boat often and I don't really like the squat most leveled tacos get when towing. What would be a good suggestion for front and rear that would not look stupid when I tow my boat and can handle the tongue weight. I see a lot of people changing leaf packs but I read that some of them aren't good with extra weight. I'd like to stay under $1200 if I can. Most of my experience is in track cars, this is my second taco, the first one got totaled by a tourist here on spring break before I could mod it. I will be off-roading some, mostly mud and trails though. Not much rock crawling here in central FL.

I was looking into 5100 kit or 6112 / 5160 kit set it for 2 inch lift in front and put firestone kit in back to help the squat .

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
I put airbags in the back of mine with a remote so I can properly adjust how much air goes in the bags. More or less depending on what im towing. You could just put some bilstein 5100's in the back as well as a block to raise the suspension. Then airbags. You'd definitely be under your price point there. I did that and it still rides great. Its basically factory springs with a block underneath and a better shock. Very similar to factory ride.

All pro standard duty leaf pack. They're on sale right now for $450 brand new + free shipping. Usually go for $550 + shipping. Rear Shocks: bilsteins for 3" lift from wheelers off road $190/pair

Front shocks: bilsteins $175/pair add another $100 if they install springs

All that for around $800 brand new. You might even be able to get some light racing UCAs w your budget.

Here was my setup. I eventually took off my air bags because the leaf springs held up so great.

Are those longer brake lines? As for the over all rear lift how much was the gain? Thanks

Interested in this as I tow my bass boat weekly as well. Pulls the boat fine, average around 11mpg. Braking is another story...

Anyone? Looking at 5100 all around, 887 coils up front. I don't have any added weight in rear day to day, just the boat when towing around east Tx.

I have 5100 all around with OME 887 and wheeler AAL's with stock overload. Also run a equalizer hitch. Trailer is about 4000lbs loaded and I squat maybe an 1"....

In this picture I did not have the equalizer connected.....

Vinyl letter insets for tailgate. Garmin CS60 GPS mounting. Other misc décor in the form of decals.
My A frame trailer weighs roughly 2300lbs loaded, with about 300lbs of tongue weight.
The truck bears a shell, and when we travel for camp, theres probably another couple hundred pounds in the back of the truck.
The truck is stock, but for SumoSprings. All loaded, we are level, and my mileage runs 16-18MPG.

Sweet. Going to order the 5100s, slowly piece this together. Still have a few more months of towing life left in my tires, going to replace tires when I lift as well.

Wow. This is the exact question I have and... nothing. But I'm getting that everywhere. As soon as I mention I want 2-3" lift kit and include I will be towing with it, I get crickets. :/
