    Hi all,

Looks like my rubber hood seal has come loose and needs to be reattached. Most likely this is a result of the fluid film on the hood. I attached a picture for reference.

Any recommendations for a good adhesive to reattach the rubber seal to the hood??
I was thinking silicone might be a good option, or maybe even double sided tape.

    Thanks!!

Good stuff right here. IMO-can't go wrong with 3M. Preperation is important to make it work.

Pretty sure that is attached with clips. It looks like the FF just smoked the rubber.

Are you sure the seal is glued to begin with as stated above I think it is clipped onto the hood, not glued.

I took mine off to install a deflector, but later decided to take that off and I never put the weather strip back on. 13 years and 185,000 miles later it still works fine.

Thanks so much everyone for all your thoughts and advice!!
    Really appreciate it.

I checked a bit closer today and you guys are right, the seal is indeed clipped onto the hood.
Thankfully all of the clips are still fastened nice and tight.
I suspect the seal still does a good job of flattening out and sealing properly once the hood is closed and weight is on it.
As a result I will probably end up doing nothing for the time being since it's probably functioning just fine.

Fluid film and rubber certainly do not get along!!
I still can't believe how the fluid film warped the rubber seal like that.
