The same shit everyone else has.
    Long story short....

I installed larger tires on my truck finally.

The truck currently has 5100s up front set at 1.75 with TRD Off Road Springs (1.75" lift). The rear has a Wheelers Progressive 3 leaf add a leaf on a 3 leaf non TSB springs (about 2" of lift).

The truck has the perfect amount of rake with the suspensions set at its current setting.

I plan on adding Eibach springs, 1/4" top plate spacers, and Light Racing upper control arms to the 5100s up front to bring them up to a full 3" of lift.

I would like to bring the rear up about more 1"/1.5" when I do the fronts.

What would be my best option for the rear? Adding a 1" lift block? Adding more leaves to the spring pack?

    Thanks

The cheaper/better than a lift block way would be to put that 3-leaf AAL on a set of TSB springs and leave the overload in with it.

I hate lift blocks, so there. I said it.

I'd go with a new leaf pack.

Since no shackle then it looks like a whole new pack.

I despise the idea of lift blocks as well. Just weighing my options

Thats what I was thinking. Unfortunately Im beyond the limit of having the TSB done to my truck and havent had any luck finding anyone sellin TSB springs locally.

I don't think you can lift a stock second gen taco with shackles.

I've been running a one inch block on stock, non-TSB, leafs for a few months now and have not had any issues with it whatsoever. Considering you've invested in some quality parts, it all depends on your budget. A block would be cheap, easy to install, and better yet easy to replace if needed. I'd say run the stock leaf packs/AAL's into the ground and buy an entire new setup. This way you wouldn't be wasting a whole bunch of money if you plan on upgrading in the future. Block's really aren't that bad unless you exceed 2+ inches in my opinion. Id say block or another AAL if I were you.

Nothing is wrong with cheaper alternatives if you know the limits to the product.

Technical service bulletin. It's like a recall, but on a smaller scale.
