Hey, which of the fuses under the dash (see picture below) can I “add a fuse” for the remote switch to turn on and off my amplifier?

    what I’ve tried:
    1. “Panel” 5A - but that didn’t work( or it stays on I forget )

    2. AM1 - it’s empty and it stays ON constantly

I’m trying to find a fuse here that triggers the Amp on for my Sub, only when the car is on or has accessories/audio on.
Which do you recommend? It’s hard enough to pull these smaller fuses out so I don’t want to keep doing that for trial and error.

i need to get a multimeter. That’s probably the correct way to go about this

I really don’t want to pull the radio out. Any options for this fuse setup?

@Boghog1 I’ll probably just have to pull the radio. I’ve done tranny swaps on my own so I think I got that technical aspect covered. Thought it’s been easier to add a fuse. I’m using the LOC for frequency into RCA cables into my amp. Cheers man

PAC SNI-35 LOC cheap one on Amazon. I use the front right speaker wire in the kick panel to supply frequency to the amp. It works. You were probably curious to why I didn’t already pull the head unit for that. Trying to do less pulling of items.

Pulling the head unit will take no more than 10 minutes.

Yank the radio trim and remove four bolts.

@Boghog1 @slowlane I tapped into the radio White wire (constant 12v) but now my amp stays always on. Is this ok?

the other option was using the smaller Gray switched ign wire. I’ve hear if you use this eventually the amp could cause the radio to remain on?

I may switch to the gray wire for now or I was thinking I could run a in line on/off switch on the remote wire when it passes under the driver side kick panel but then I’d have to always remember to not leave it on.

Just the same one that provides juice @ ACC - Gray wire - 7.5A ECU-ACC...so you don't remove the radio or cut the wire while tapping it...
