Hey all, finally got my TRD grille in and just finished painting my chrome shroud to match my pyrite micha. Onto the electrical!

I hear a lot of guys in other forums going for the add a fuse but I'm a bit of a novice and want this done simply and easily. So. Would an inline fuse with a 3amp fuse in it immediately after the splice from the DRL to the three LEDs be good enough? Sorry if that's confusing.

Another question I had was what wire do I tap into on the DRL anyway? I heard someone say the green is positive.. think my dad said white.. I dunno what to believe. And one last one, is it best to group all the positives into one single line, splicing them all together. Or group them all together in the end of the inline fuse?

    Thanks!

Don’t make it hard on yourself.

    1. Ground the black wire you your grounding screw on your frame next to your battery.

    2. Go get a Fuse Tap from Autozone.

    3. Run red wire through firewall rubber wire grommet

4.Crimp fuse tap to red wire.

    5. put red wire in the “tail” location located on the fuse panel in the interior fuse box (not the fuse box under the hood). I am not home to verify but I think that’s where I connected mine.

Now every time you turn you Driving lights on, they should come on with your parking lights (and headlight when on)

I hope this helps and isn’t too confusing. Should only take you 30min top and that’s being generous. I installed mine in less then 10min.

if you haven’t used a fuse tap before, spend 5 minutes you tubing how to properly set your fuses. If I’m not mistaken, put the one to your lights on top and the one to the other system you are tapping to goes on the bottom. Install it with the chord coming down.

here’s a picture of my fuse tap for my switch panel (this is not the tap for the raptor lights, this was before I installed them). Also, the photo is sideways. Rotate it 90° to the left and it should match yours.
