I have changed my 2010 TRD's radio out for a new double DIN head unit. I've added controls for the steering wheel buttons, SiriusXM, etc. The last thing I need to do is move the backup cam display off of the rear view mirror and onto the new head unit screen. I want to just continue to use the camera in the tailgate, so I can do all of the connections under the dash and left kick panel. But I don't know where to buy the adapter needed. It plugs into the camera feed beneath the coin box. Any ideas on who makes it and where to buy it? Thanks!

I have not ever found an adapter for this. Normally you will have to do a bit of splicing. It’s easy, but it’s still more than a plug-in connector.

Thanks for the reply. I think you're right about just doing a bit of splicing without a kit. I saw a video on YouTube where a person was demonstrating the install and he had an actual adapter. I pasted the link below. You can see the part he is talking about if you fast forward to about 1:03 in the video. But I can't find the part anywhere. Metra doesn't have it and I haven't seen it anywhere else. I just need to figure out which wires to tie together and get it done. Thanks again!

    Looks to be this

They are using this to add backup cam to factory radio, so you would still have to cut that connector off behind the radio and splice on an RCA cable.
That’s an expensive part considering you’ll still be splicing wires

I'm about to do this install soon, what splicing has to happen?

Mine is factory mirror, as well. I'm not sure exactly what wires to splice together yet. I can check it with a meter and probably figure it out. Unless someone else has already done this and could provide the info.

I dont remember the thread or part numbers, but I know theres a kit to switch it. Car Toys local to me carried it. It was like $25-ish dollars if i remember correctly...

I found this part but $70 seemed a bit high. For now its still running on the mirror and I've actually grown used to it, so not sure I'll move it but I do have a friend that works at CarToys and I'll reach out to him and see if he knows anything.
