Going on my 2020 when it gets here.....
Haven't seen a radical bad review regarding wear or noise. There are some concerning reviews for wet pavement.

I have KO2s on my 2005 and on my 2018 Chevy Z71 (that I drive on the Highway a lot for work). Gotta say I like them alot for a mid range offroad/highway tire. If the Achilles are too noisy I will swap them out on the 05' no biggy.

I plan to do a review with pics when my 2020 shows. There will be a follow up review when I actually have some data to report regarding noise and wear. The review will be in it's own thread.


No I'm not buying a dam decibel meter. Loud is loud. I will reference the KO2 and Super Swamper TSL for comparison.

I went with the Wildpeaks but it won’t last long. Already looking forward to install lift kit, cmc and jump to 285s

I'm in that same boat. I have 265/70/17 Wildpeaks but just jumped ship to go to 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak MTs. Should have everything installed mid-January.

I was able to get my tires for $164 apiece during black Friday.

 

265 75 16....Will be in conjunction with a 2/1 lift on stock OR wheels. Will stick the link up.
Paid $142 on Simple Tire. I think they are $138 now.

 

My back aches just looking at those tires.

Where did you get them?

I was actually looking at those Falken MT’s also. My plans are to do the upgrade next summer.

 

I got them at Discount Tire (had them price match tirebuyer.com +10% off coupon + 15% discount tire rebate).

My friend has these on two of his offroading rigs (37" tire) and they are their favorite tire they have used, plus are extremely quiet on the road when I've ridden in his vehicle. I'm pretty excited to get them on.

 

What suspension / wheel setup will you run?

 

5100s with 888 coils, 3 leaf AAL in the rear, SPC UCAs.

My wheels are 17x9 -12 offset.

 

I don't know if I want to own a tire made by a company called Achilles lol

Since they are a mud tire, I imagine they are a 3 ply sidewall? That was one thing I wanted when I was looking at tires, but mostly only MT's have a 3ply sidewall (and maybe the K02s)
