Mud tire with no tread wear warranty and large blocks means it will have bad tread wear and likely be noisy.

I feel the look, but I think will end getting the Falkens. Don’t feel the noise, especially since my truck is dd

To me it just looks like it would be really noisy and slide all over the place in rain:notsure:

o_O Is that English? lol, jk jk. But the K02 is actually an AT and the noise level is surprisingly good, wet traction descent.

Maybe you meant KM3? In which case those actually perform surprisingly well in rain.... for an MT. I don't think ANY MT is going to have GOOD wet traction. But usually chinese knockoffs are significantly worse in my experience. I drove a Rubicon trade in with "Lion" brand tires, mud terrain. They howled like crazy and your ass would slip out if you hit a single raindrop.

Tires are just one place I don't think anyone should skimp, its like the most important part of your truck, nothing else matters if you have shit tires. Acceleration, braking, handling, stopping distance... all neutered with cheap tires. Can't think of a single other item on a vehicle that effects so much at once :/

I musta had a stroke when I typed that, I meant ko2, I’ve heard a lot of people talk about slipping on wet roads.

I think I’m gonna go with these tires when the time comes around, I haven’t had terrible luck with cheapos and the reviews on these seem decent.

But I guess it all depends on what you like.

I’ve used Achilles before, street and kinda street / performance tires but I’m new to the trucks world so I’m just doing research on a few stuff I like.

But totally agree with you about how important they are.

I'm probably being quick to judge simply because I've never heard of Achilles tires before, so I'm just making assumptions they're similar to Lion, geotire, "goodride" etc...

Achilles may be more legit I'm just super skeptical of off brand tires from past experiences. Worked at a few dealerships that would put crappy chinese tires on used cars in recon to save $ and it would drive me crazy. Like great we saved $200 and now the car handles and stops like crap and is way harder to sell... gee thanks guys. And if its raining don't even think about going on a test drive.

So I guess I just have a chip on my shoulder lol.

I'm just talking shit on cheap tires I don't know anything specifically about Achilles, they may not even be like the cheap brands I hate so much lol. Just putting up a word of caution on unknown tire brands, I've just never heard of them but sounds like you've done your due diligence. And just because I've never heard of them doesn't mean they're automatically chinese tire quality I could just be ignorant about them, other guy in here had good experiences with Achilles, and that says something because I've never heard a single person have a good experience with say "Lion Tyre"

It's definitely aggressive looking but I've never heard of that brand. I would bet they roar like hell after a little wear but probably do great in the mud:mudding:

Back in 1994 my FJ40 had off brand tires from Kumho. Those were surprisingly good tires. Ended up running that brand on a few sports cars, and was extremely pleased. Can't always judge a tire by brand recognition. Even Michelin was an unknown once upon a time.

Still, Achilles could be crap, never know until you try.

I have considered these tires before because they're cheap and that makes them expendable. Damage to an expensive off-road tire hurts. Playing in the rocks is very hard on tires so I want a tire that will either hold up really well (km2's) or tires that are cheap and doesn't hurt when I need to replace them.

I’m just broke and think paying 108$ for a 31 10.50 is neat and my 1st gen isn’t quite on the road any way.
