    Looking to get a 17 TRD OR. I like the look of the access cab with LB and wanted to know what would I be missing out on if I didn't go with the double cab with LB. Just my wife and I and would not use the rear seats, we have a Macan GTS and use it for going shopping. We are looking to relocate from NE PA to St. George UT. Plan on crawling on some rocks. Any benefit to have the double cab? Not seeing many access cabs.

    Options we are looking at;
    Premium & Tech package
    Tow package
    Maybe the tonneau cover

    I have a access cab and love it. I don't have a need for back seats. Wanted a long bed for hauling. Nice to have it fit in my garage (a DCLB would not fit).

    I like my access cab OR, but the occasional time that I need to take more than 1 person around is kind of a pain. Depends on if you're taking people or more gear most often I guess.

    I decided on the access cab OR and I haven't had any regrets with it. Since its just my wife and me and our dogs, I really don't have a need for the double cab or the added price or weight that it brings. I actually removed the jump seats and built a hinged platform that works great when hauling the dogs or for utility when I don't have them with me. I use the truck bed a lot, so I definitely didn't want the shorter bed.

    I take the truck on trails occasionally and I enjoy the tighter turning radius and maneuverability than if I had the double cab with long bed.

    I had to install bed lights because the access cabs didn't have that option in '16. But with my tonneau cover, the cab mounted light wouldn't have done much good anyway.

    I also like the looks of the access cab. But that is just my opinion. Anyway, best of luck on your decision!

    Get the Access Cab, you're saving money, you're getting a longer bed, you're getting a more attractive looking vehicle, and you still have two jump seats for emergency passenger usage.

    A DCSB is the same wheelbase and length as a AC (only comes LB)

    We have a DCSB and I don't regret it for our needs, as we don't otherwise have a useful 4 passenger vehicle, but for your situation I'd also recommend an AC. I think, especially if you remove the rear seats, you'd have plenty of accessible, secure covered storage in the cab, plus the longer bed.

    True, a DCSB would fit in my garage too, but I wanted a ACLB

    If I could have got an Off Road Manual in an AC, I would have but had to Order a Double Cab.

    Double so you can always be the guy who drives. F having to ride with someone else or being that guy who takes his own truck.

    If the TRD Pro came in a access cab, that would have been my first choice. I did'nt want to build up another truck and the Pro checked most of my boxes.

    I love the access cab, the only choice for me. Dont need the double cab, plus no one wants to pile up in it like in a DC. Need the longer bed to haul my crap in, plus with less weight that a DC, it can tow more. Love the looks of the AC the best. Just wish my OR was available in MT, then it would be perfect.
