Well, got the truck back from the body shop (Bambi slayer), and there isn’t a cap on the low pressure ac line. Yes, they had to replace the condenser and recharge..)

so the question is, should there be a cap on the service port. And what color cap should it be?

    thanks

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Caps can be either blue low and red high, or both can be black, but they are different sizes so the wrong equipment won't work on the fittings.

OP, I believe that one is actually an Acme fitting. Should be able to find at just about any auto parts place or, if you pass by a commercial HVAC distributor place, I have found there a few AC fittings including the little Schraeder-type valves, and Acme, caps etc.

They should have replacement caps at most auto parts stores (Autozone, etc.).

Cool. Remind me not to use the Toyota body shop in the future. They had to replace the radiator, ac condenser and the trans cooler. When I got it home, I had to add coolant, the transmission was almost two qts low and shifted like crap, and the AC didn't work. I stopped at the dealer, (body shop was part of the owners group, not at the Toyota dealer) and the the dealership fixed everything except for replacing that cap...

1 deer, almost $10,000 in repairs. (hood, headlights, grill, fenders, bumper cover, fog lights.... paint...) Looks great now. lol
