Trying to get my AC back going for the summer but I have a line that has broke. The broken line is highlighted in the picture I’ve attached, it’s the line going from the dehydrator to the condenser. I think it’s PN 8871604103 seen as #9 in this diagram https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/p...siteid=214329&vehicleid=69976&diagram=8510090 but I’m not certain because it doesn’t appear the same in the diagram as it does on the truck. Thanks for the help!

Looks like you got the right line, maybe an updated design?

I suppose that it could be. After googling the part number, I was able to find a picture of the actual line and it is the same.

All those parts can be got cheap from rock auto. Including the dryer.

I replaced all those and the dryer for $50.

Sad part is I already replaced the drier and compressor thinking it would all be good, then discovered the line had broke. But it looks like judging by the diagram I should be able just to replace that one that. Is that correct? Because looking at it on the truck doesn’t appear that way

That is the correct part, its just drawn wrong. the pic just does not include all the bends that the line has. Ask the Toyota parts tech and make sure that the part has a series of bends.

Oddly enough, I just checked rockauto and that part is back ordered.

Looking at your pic of the truck, the fitting on the bottom of the condenser may be shot. You might have to spend another $50 and get a new condenser. They do take a pretty good beating from being the 1st thing that will get hit with road debrise.

If you can't get it from the dealer, there is a used one on Ebay.

I thought about that earlier. I’m going to take my grill back off to inspect the fitting on the condenser before I go to ordering new parts

I don’t thing was very clear before. In the diagram it appears that both lines coming off of the drier are two separate lines, but on the truck it looks like the fitting/houseing that sits on the drier is one piece and the lines can’t be replaced one at a time

I'm pretty confused here. You blindly replaced your compressor without doing a pulling a vacuum on the system first?

But yes, your condenser likely needs to be replaced. They pick up rocks frequently and spring a small leak.

Compressor was replaced during an engine swap because I knew the compressor was on the way out. When the A/C stopped cooling I assumed it was the compressor based on what I already knew, so I had it replaced while swapping engines
