    Greetings All,

I have a 98 2.4 standard which has had a siezed ac compressor for some time. I have a friend who agreed to replace the compressor but unfortunately a bolt snapped when he was taking the old one out. Not sure what the name of the part is other than AC manifold but Ive included some pictures to show what I am talking about. He probably should have taken it out differently but now I just need to find a new one so the new AC comp can go in. Thanks for any help finding the part.

Bc that bolt is in the bad compressor
You don’t need to extract snapped bolt

take the bolt that came out correctly (Next to the green line in your pix)to dealer or old school hardware store

Compressors typically come with a blank cover in place of the manifold as different models use different manifolds on the same compressor. They also have a slight pressure to prevent moisture intrusion and help with seal health.

That’s the manifold still attached to the old compressor. How do I replace that since it has a broken bolt snapped into it?

i had to do the same on a snapped valve cover bolt on a Subaru
BARELY ANY ACCESS.....EVEN WITH ENGINE RESTING ON FRONT SUBFRAME

i had to modify a R-angle drill(cut the drill housing) and dremelled away small portion of subframe lip just for access
    IT WORKED......1ST TIME!!!!
(if it didnt i would have to pull entire engine for access)

yours will be 1000% easier to accomplish bc you can do on a bench
    -drill small hole 1st
    -use reverse bit 2nd
    GL

let everyone know how turns out

What's the bolt size for this? I snapped one too while changing out a compressor for my father's 95 Tacoma with the 2.4L 2RZ-FE.
