I am going to replace this weekend if I can get the right part. Has anyone else done this? Can anyone recommend where to get the part or should I make sure to get it from the dealer?

    it’s for a 2015 automatic six cylinder

What symptoms were you having and how did you diagnose this?

From what my mechanic said, it's better to just replace the whole compressor assy, clutch/pulley and all.

Just get any part from Rock Auto, dealer will be $$$

2 weeks ago, we went wheeling for the 1st time this summer. We turned on the AC on the highway going out to the trail, and it took and extended amount of time to get cold. I turned the truck off to air down.

When I turned it back on, and fired up the AC. It made a loud noise from the AC compressor area, for about 30 - 45 seconds now the AC light flashes and no cold comes out. Upon inspection it showed the AC compressor clutch was gone, and the lower idler pulley is making a bit of noise.

I can do the clutch myself. If it’s the whole compressor I’m just going to let the shop do it. I don’t want to deal with the freon.

so $50 gamble and it works and I save a bunch or I have to just bite the bullet

symptoms are AC does not blow any cold air. Squeals at intervals when it is on. I removed the fuse and relay related to the AC clutch and the squealing goes away.

    AC all fixed.

Did not require the 2 snap rings, just the spacer kit.

Cleaned up and reused the existing snap rings.

    Here is the issue.

AC compressor clutch melted I believe because the bearing it sits in got dirty and seized, from being so low and always subjected to every splash of anything.

Replaced this and the bearing it sits in. Got is spaced just as required, needed the new spacer kit and existing spacers to get it perfect.

I'm having the same exact thing!

We're you just able to do the clutch without the rest of the compressor? If so, where did you get the part? Not funding it on rock auto. Thanks!

Here’s an easily understandable write up I did with mine a few weeks ago. Solved my problems and AC rocks with no issues
