Hoping someone who has done this or better at searching than I.
Looking for Part Number or vendors links.

Had actually looked it up at a dealer site and the part crosses for them, but nowhere else.
Diagram is for reference, the hub circled in'st me )
Rock Auto doesn't seem to have it. More fun that its called different things at2nd Gen tacoma Front.gif various sites

In taking apart my hub to replace the bearings, I find a washer instead of the BS Ring..
The retaining clip is in bad shape, on order
Caliper dust boot ripped. on order

Thanks to Everyone who has helped keep this less if a headache

The tone ring for the ABS is part of the bearing, you have to install the bearing with the magnetic strip facing the sensor.

The part circled in the picture is the wheel hub but that picture looks like it is for a 1st gen.

Why I put a note ahead of the diagram. For reference, but anyone that finds a correct one is welcome to upload it
Its not part of the bearing on my 5 lug. I need to disassemble the other site, if its correct
I know it isn't because the ABS sensor aligned directly with the Washer.

I'm pretty sure the sensor reads the magnetic strip on the bearing but I could be wrong, @Jimmyh or @Bishop84 probably could tell you for sure.

The tone ring on the unit bearings are part of the race cover. They are not a separate part that can be purchase.

The more important question is, are the side specific?
Because that ABS light can cripple a truck quick.

I know they are side specific for the rear on a 6 lug.

Basically, what I’m saying is that OP needs to make sure what he buys when he’s buying it.

Not sure on the setup on the front, but as long as both speed sensors are on the front of the knuckle the bearings shouldn't be.

I have a 5-lug. There is no differentiation between right/left. It's a typical dumb abs (not directional). As others have said, you just need to make sure the magnetic ring on the bearing faces the right direction.

Edit - I should quantify that my assumption is that it's a typical dumb abs, but I suppose it might be smarter than I think since the SENSOR comes in right/left. Whichever it is (smart/dumb), the bearing part is the same whether left or right.

I've never ran into a side specific press in bearing but that doesn't mean they don't exist, most of them do have the magnetic ring for the ABS and you have to pay attention to press it in facing the correct way or you will be doing it again.

I vaguely remember a member here having an issue with the rear bearings being side specific. But it might have been the hub itself. And not the tone ring.

Apparently the shop he had do the bearings did them wrong?
