On my other car, I have a piece of the door panel "frame" that cracked during shipping. It's bolted to the door above and below the area that split, but I would like to rejoin the two pieces if possible.
I've read about Super Glue + Baking Soda. There's also products from home depot, like a bottle of epoxy a plumber might use for joining pipes. And obviously lots of other options on the market. Maybe use a piece of fine mesh screen to help "wrap" the area during the application of the glue?
Does anyone have some tried and true products or methods?
The guy who shipped me the doors is willing to do a more professional repair, but then I have to ship the panel to florida again and wait another 7-10 days (including the shipping and repair times).
So if I can make a somewhat solid joint on my own, I think I would rather do that.

    Here's the damaged area.

Ok, I went ahead and tried the CA/BS method. I'm pretty impressed! We'll see how long it lasts. Although I have good reason to believe it won't let go anytime soon. A lot of repairs that I saw have lasted years with no indication of letting go!

Initial application on the front side of the panel.....

The back side has a nice area that allows you to add some layers.....

Holding it up by the repaired section and we all know how heavy these door panels are. Right at the crack too! A little nervous at first lol. But it holds!

And a picture of it re-installed. Perfecto!
