Hey. Guys our first snow is heading my way (phila) can some one tell me which fuse or fuses need to be pulled to disable abs. I've had terrible experiences with snow or ice with these brakes. Tia (a picture would be even better) 07 4.0 access 4x4

In the fuse panel under the hood there are two Large ABS fuses ABS No 1, 50 ampere and ABS No 2, 30 ampere. Pull them both.

Just take note that the ABS System will be disabled if these are pulled and all associated VSC, DAC, TRAC, HAC, or Auto LSD will not function.

I have an 07 A/C also, and drive in the snow almost daily. The ABS on my truck is about as dangerous as anything I have ever seen. I can't even begin to apply light pressure on the pedal without it actuating and taking control of the braking. I have put a couple hundred K miles on it like this, and am prepared for how it acts, but still hate it. I keep telling myself to do that green wire ABS mod....maybe this summer. My 2010 DCLB Pre-Runner does not have the same issue, and I suspect it may have something to do with the 07 being a 5 speed.

bringing back an old thread. I have an 06 4x4 access cab 6 speed with a rear e-locker
my ABS was going crazy on my truck, randomly kick in under light braking, then the other day I hit some bumps in the road and the abs locked on. Came to a stop and then every time I would go above 5mph the abs would kick on without even touching the brakes and stay on until I came to a complete stop.

Pulled the ABS No.2 Fuse ONLY, not No.1 and disabled the ABS. I have the yellow ABS light and red BRAKE light on and have been driving around for a few days now and everything seems to be working great.

    Does your Speedo work consistently?

The ABS sensor is tied into the speed sensor. If something there isn't working right that could be causing ABS to kick in.

Speedo works, it's not accurate due to tire size but it works. Just about 5mph off
