    Hi All -

Hopefully someone who knows more than me can help me out here.

I was stuck in the snow for about 45 minutes in 4wd. and the ABS light and Brake Warning Lights came on and stayed on. I turned the truck off and on and they were still illuminated.

I'm unstuck now but the lights were still on when I came inside.

    Any ideas?

Any digging take place in, around, or behind the wheels that might have damaged an ABS sensor?

I guess it's a possibility but not really. Are they super sensitive?

They are just pretty exposed, along with the wiring. I would check them to make sure there is no obvious damage and that the harnesses are plugged in tight.

Thanks for the info. Is there a diagram somewhere on where they're located?

At 14:10 he talks about the abs sensor and then removed it. Ours are in the same spot. Should give you somewhere to start.

Yea wiggle the connectors a little bit and make sure they're plugged in well. It happens to me every now and then. It's the only wire/connector on the inside of each wheel

Remove all the snow that's packed in the wheels & around the brakes. Be careful of the brake lines/wires. etc.

Yeah just got back from the wash, cleaned everything off and got all the snow, mud out of everything and the lights went off while driving. So all good.

I should stick to driving to the mall. Haha.

    Thanks again.

those sensors/connectors are finicky. If you do a lot of wheeling in mud/sloppy terrain that is 1/4-1/2 way up the wheel, dirt and grime get in that connector and will trip it. after a deep puddle (or a rinse) it'll get that stuff outa there and turn the light off. its not something to be worried about, unless of course you actually know the wire got pulled from doing maintenance or something like that.

if you truck sat in snow/ice and were driving in it, brine from the road plus the ice and snow easily trip that sensor. glad you found it out, but most things like that aren't anything to be concerned about...unless you know you did something physical to it).

Are you TRD Off Road? If you had the diff lock engaged = ABS disabled and light on.
