Hey guys, so I’ll soon be making an order of the parts required to make 700+ hp on my 5vz motor. I’m not even going to think about testing my stock (with the exception of a shift kit) transmission at that kind of power. She held up alright at 420hp and then my oil pump failed and i spun a rod bearing. Moral of the story: i would like to keep the a340e (or a variation of it) in my tacoma and just fully build it. Yes, I’m aware that a th400 trans would be cheaper. Does anyone know where to locate performance parts for these transmissions? Apparently a variation of the A340e came in the mk4 Supra’s. Any help would be appreciated

Where are you located? I have two A340e's from Toyota Aristos that came with GTEs I bought. This has me thinking...

Hmmm, wonder if the 5vzfe bell-housing bolts to this version of A340, in which case I'll be keeping one of these trans for myself! Also wonder if the electrical connectors are the same, and the wiring/pinnout is the same.

IMG_20181130_155536.jpg Sitting on two Aristo GTE autos and their torque converter if anyone wants to give a swap a try (in SoCal). I'd give it away darn near next to free, the only other application are GS3/400 guys that want to beef up.

Please make a build thread. I’m really interested to hear about your current setup and the new motor and transmission build.
