I'm looking at doing a pair of replacement aftermarket seats in my 2006 Access Cab. The kid used it in the snow earlier this month and did about $5k of damage in a spinout accident. Part of that damage was a twisting of the back of the driver's side seat.

I need someone with stock seats from an earlier 2nd gen truck to give me a few numbers.

Width at widest point of padded seat base and seat back.

Depth from front of seat base to where it meets the seat back.

    Much appreciated in advance.

Whew man...I'm trying to understand how that could even happen. Having added Katzkins to my '08, I realized those frames are somewhat stout...especially when you're talking about torsional force that would be isolated to the seatback. I realize this isn't me providing you with the numbers you asked for, but, can you tell me a little bit more about what you're doing with them? I'm happy to go take measurements, I just want to make sure I'm providing you with the information most relevant to what you need it for.

Hope he’s walking everywhere now? Twisting a seat, that’s a first for me.

She spun and then squarely hit the Jersey barrier with the rear bumper, spun off the right rear corner and then smacked the front right wheel on the same barrier, breaking about 12-14" of the rim. It was a pretty solid hit. When I got in the truck the driver's seat was aimed at the wheel, call it 12:00. The back of the seat was aimed at ~1:30-2:00. It was twisted out of shape. Since OEM seats aren't usually designed for more than one accident of this magnitude, I'd like to replace them. PRP is a marketing partner of mine and they make the race seats I rely on. They've come out with a tilting OEM replacement style seat and I'm trying to see if it will fit.

I apologize, I misread the post thought they were doing donuts in the snow. Hope everyone is ok.
