I bought the hose, clamp, and zip ties myself. The link @Chew posted is what I referenced for the parts. The auto parts store near me only cuts in multiples of feet, so they had me purchase 36" instead of 25". Not too big of a deal honestly because it allowed me to route the hose the way I wanted.

I have a question. Serious. Why divert a trickle of clean water from hitting the frame when thousands of gallons hit the frame every time you drive in the rain?

It was cheap and easy to do :notsure:
I don't even live in the rust belt so for me it's even less of a problem

I’m sorry, but how do you keep water off your frame when driving in the rain?

Edit: Just saw above posts haha. Never mind.

This mod is right there with the diff breather “mod”. Completely useless IMO.

Only if you use a 1-way valve in my opinion.

I just did a DYI. However, a member does have a kit that he sells which really is nice. He hadn't come out with his kit yet when I done mine or I would have used it.

To all the guys that are questioning why this is necessary, if you live in a rusty place like I do, that drip actually makes a mess of the top of the frame. Yeah you can't prevent rain from getting everywhere, but you can prevent a constant, year-round drip, from hitting the same spot on your frame very easily. Doesn't hurt anything to do it.

I had some random tube laying around that was big enough to go on the outside of the drain tube, shoved it on, and zapstrapped it lower on the frame. Job done, cost nothing.

Alright, I'll buy that but again, all the water from rain and slop and...? Maybe easier to fluid film that spot?

I have the ac drain mod, a PCV catch can, AND I change my oil every 5k. :anonymous: No diff breather mods though. And no raptor lights. And no T-Rex lights. So I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

I dont know about easier... fluid film is nasty, this took less than 5 minutes, plus is permanent and doesnt wash away. I dunno, in a dry area where the water evaporates right away I wouldnt have bothered

I was just curious. To me, it's like keeping a section of your yard dry until it rains. Then whatever you did comes undone. You start over, it rains and you do it again. And again. Eventually, what's the point? It sounded like a good idea until, um, logic.

I’m also in 5k oil change camp:) I like the idea of a catch can but I’m paranoid that it could get filled up quick at steep angle off-road and blow my motor.

Definitely no raptor lights over here haha.
