By any chance does anyone know what size the mounting bolts are for the a/c compressor on the 4.0? I'm missing one of the bolts. Do you think I can quickly remove the other mounting bolt to reference the size without the compressor dropping down to much and tweaking the refrigerant lines?

    Thanks for any quick repilies!!

You should be able to pull a bolt to go match it up. I forget what size it is off the top of my head. I’m willing to bet I have one if you can’t find one. Probably wouldn’t take much to ship it

    Yes you can do this

You can easily remove one and leave the other one holding the compressor, it's not going to go anywhere.

Take it out and go to a bolt supply shop.

Also you can move the compressor around a lot. I just removed mine and left the lines attached. Was able to move compressor all the way up to the radiator

Thanks for all the replies all!!! I was able to figure it out, It's an M8 size bolt, 3" long with a thread pitch of 1.25. i think most of the mounting bolts on the engine and engine area are all 1.25 thread pitch, so for future reference. I just spent the last two days replacing my knock sensors (had to pull the supercharger so did some other maintenance) and also installed the oem engine oil cooler. Hands all busted up. This was the last bolt to install and got her all fired up and so far so good.
