My A/C blower has gone out. Last time it went out I just popped out the blower motor, cleaned it, reinstalled it, and it worked fine. I hoped that would be the case again this time, but after looking at the plugs...I don't think it will be that free or easy.

    What's my fix here?
    Just replace the connector?
Should I replace the blower motor too?
    Anything else?

2010 with 265k, by the way.

Since that's an aftermarket blower with it's own pigtail you could just chop the connectors off and splice the wires together (make note of which wire goes where) then when the motor goes get a new motor and connector.

replace the wiring back a couple inches and crimp on a new connector.

Replace with high temp SS connectors. Once they are carboned up from overheating, they lose all tension and will never make a proper connection again.

Here are part numbers for the factory connector and repair terminals/wires for the blower motor harness...replaced mine about a year ago.

    82998-12380 Terminal, Repair With Wire
    90980-10916 Housing Connector F

In my experience, you have a problem elsewhere too. Might be worth replacing your blower motor resistor and making sure you aren't having a water intrusion problem (what caused my issues) in the driverside kick panel below the A pillar. My guess is if you investigate further you will find melted connectors there too, much like i did.

I ended up running a new 12g wire from the relay in the fuse box directly to the blower motor (bypasssing the damaged IA4 connector all together) using the repair terminal w/wire and replacement connector I ordered.

I cut the oem connector and spliced in female blade terminals that connected to the blower male terminals. I don't recall if they were .110 or .187 inch blades, but it has worked for me. Going on eight years. I think your blower may be ok; your connector has corroded and not delivering power to the blower. You can rig a jump cable to test the blower. Use dielectric grease on the connections.

So, I'm out of my element with anything electrical. Can someone tell me if what I'm saying seems like the right way to go:

    1. Replace the resistor
    2. Replace the resistor connector by cutting off the old one and splicing on a new one

    3. Replace the blower connector by cutting off the old male end and splicing on a new one
    4. What about the female end, wired into the blower? Can that be replaced or is it probably fine? Or is a new blower motor the way to go?

When I pulled the resistor out it was not what I expected:

Thank you guys for the quick responses and sorry for being dense.

There's an updated resistor and pigtail available, loke I said I'd just splice the blower wires together and get rid of the pigtails there until it needs a new blower motor and then get a new blower pigtail.and blower motor.

Here are the part numbers for the resistor and updated harness you'll need.

I followed this advice for an easy and cheap fix. Thanks, man! I also put a cabin air filter in there (can't remember the last time I had one of those). Cleaned up my engine bay, cleaned and piled my TRD CAI filter, and then also cleaned the brake dust off my wheels (used a really great product called SudsLab XA that, with minor scrubbing, erased years worth of brake dust). Great weekend getting the truck feeling better, still so much [heavier lifting] to do.
