I have sylvania silverstars and they are awful. I am considering the hella vision plus halogen conversion as a replacement. On my old tacoma I replaced the headlights with a unit that had horrible spread I just don't want to make the same mistake. The hellas have great reviews and look much better build quality than the original ones I tried. The hellas are 46 bucks each on Amazon. Please any feedback would be great.

they look nice I already ordered the hellas. I just don't have that much for your retrofits at the moment. they look nice since I've looked further into em. I have some rigid dually lights that out shine my head lights so hopefully the hellas will be much brighter than the sealed ones.

Your duallys will outshine those too

Hella E-code H4 conversion headlights will be the best thing you can buy. There will be no comparison against the vision plus or a DOT projector bulb. E-code is the European standard and puts nearly 100% of light on the ground with exceptionally clean cut offs. DOT approved headlamps (US style beam pattern) are designed to waste a significant portion of light by scatter (throwing it up in the air) to hit overhead street signs. This wasted scatter is also annoying for oncoming drivers.

Every truck I have had with sealed beams, the first mod I did was install E-code H4s. I've recommended it to neighbors and coworkers and they all say they wished they had done it earlier. Their cutoff will look something like this __/ but at a smaller angle, allowing illumination of signs on the shoulder, without wasting light power. You won't find them in an autoparts store, but they are readily available online through many retailers like Amazon.

I just need better light on public roads. I use the duallys off road, the dually are flood so they spread light everywhere I just need better driving lights.

Even better is to run a stand alone headlight harness and put in some Orsam 85w H4 Hyper bulbs rated at 2400 lumens. These bulbs have real light output using higher wattage and no marketing garbage about being "65w=85w" or cool colors, they also last a long time for an over wattage bulb. While they are "for off highway use only" the E-code lenses will kill the light scatter making these bulbs in an E-code housing less offensive to oncoming drivers than your stock sealed beams.

I put a new harness in mine and it does wonders for sure. Going to give my truck to my son so that's the only reason for not doing a HID retrofit. I'm saving those parts for the Barracuda.
