Anyone have a diagram or picture of the location for a 97 base model 2.4 camshaft position sensor?

Well. No I didn't know. This was a yard find that has been sitting up for 3 years. I am not a mechanic but I knew enough to drain the gas etc. It started and ran fine, but would lose about 20% power, and a/c would quit. I used a cheap code reader and it gave the code, I think. The problem is when it runs and the check engine light is off, no code shows.
Usually when it comes on I don't have the reader or I can't pull over to do it. I will try to capture the code and see.
I did clean the throttle body, it was horribly dirty. I don't have the tools to test vacuum and sensors. I just wanted enough info to talk to a mechanic about it.

Well you've bought a ship with some holes in it....
.....you'll just have to address each mess one by one....
If you want a turn key vehicle that runs and runs and never needs work...
    you've made a terrible mistake....maybe a corolla or camry?..

The people here sure can help u out.......
......bunch of them specifically know specific engines...
but its gonna take some effort....or make payments for jeep/fiat or something...

When u buy a house and nobodies done anything to it for decades....
.......wow makings for a good moive.....wonder what shelly long is doing.....

Good news ....is these trucks are easy to work on.....and there's multilple vids out there to tackle pretty much any job you think of....
If not .....someone here has already done it......learn from their mistakes.......
