Um, to a scrutinizing person, the look of that set up may rub a person the wrong way...

I understand this is a 3rd gen thread but I’m going to stick around and see if this ever happens.

Yo I really wanna do this to my 3rd gen. I don’t think you’d have to chop the frame if you went with 33’s instead. But if you do it please post the process because I wanna do this exact setup. Shouldn’t be an issue if you take it to a good shop to get the work done

You have to chop the crossmember for the lift install itself, nothing to do with the tire size.

Running 33’s with an -12 offset and a 3in donut lift in the front, tires are 285x75R17 Patriots and at full lock I rub a decent amount so Relentless frame chop plate purchased and slated for install next month at northridge 4x4!!! I had a 120mm last spacer as well but that came off real quick since I lost about 33% of steering so tire size def matters!!! Measure before doing anything since I could have gone 275x75R17 and not chopped anything but being stubborn can always be expensive!!!

A 3” suspension lift and 33’s will ride better and can be Easily reversed if you have any remorse.

    Yee yee!

Does ruin your truck though eventually lol. My brother-in-law's Silverado has a 6in lift and he'll be the first to tell you it is horrible. Looks great though, and so will your TACO on 37s and 6in lift!

That’s really good to know. I was gonna get new rims and tires with my new 3 inch lift and I honestly thought you only had to chop the frame with 35s. Will def look for something that’s 275x75R17 so I don’t have to do that. Btw your truck looks hella mean I like it

Before this Tacoma I had a 2013 silverado with a 7 inch lift and 35 inch tires and I loved it. Never had a mid size truck before this one tho so we’ll see if I get it that high haha

This thread could very well be a trolling thread..so.....

Adding x amount of inches to your truck will not necessarily help for your desire of a good rub...:bananadance::dancingbacon:
