Back in Marine Corps boot camp over 44 years ago I had a Navy Corpsman miss a vein in my arm and caused me to pass out . Ever since then I get very nervous while getting a blood draw or getting an IV placed

If I hear them struggling to find a vein or they start saying something like they need to try another location I get very nervous and light headed . I also ask them to use a butterfly needle as it's less painful

Here's to a quick recovery. I have 5 incisions in my belly that are still healing from colon resection last month. You're right, it's not fun!

Glad to hear from you Tom, after 3 weeks I thought you were taking a sabbatical or the worst happened  which I'm glad didn't. I hated PT but it is necessary to get you walking on your own again.
    Stay the course .

There was a little surprise on my interior cabin filter.

I haven't a clue when or how a critter was in there. I yetted it onto the driveway. Turds are rock solid, first time I got around to changing the cabin filter in four years. 37,700 miles after four years. The engine air filter box is clean (no signs of critters).

That is not uncommon. Those are rodent turds. They often build nests on top of cabin filters. You need to check your cabin filter periodically, at least twice a year. That’s actually unhealthy because microscopic bacteria and viruses can penetrate through the filter and you can breathe them in. Also if you have allergies a dirty filter like that can blow lots of particulate and pollen and make people sick. If your truck is parked outside it is especially subject to rodent infestation. I check mine a couple times a year and replace it at least once a year. Even without the rodent droppings that filter is one of the worst I’ve seen. I don’t mean to give you a bad time but you gotta change that sucker.

That's minor, on my "07" it looked like a critter had built a hotel on top it!:laughing:
Same here, the engine air filter box was clean on the Tacoma, but they do get into it on my Chevy truck.

I really wish traveling in Mexico were not such a pain in the butt or I would do so more often. The border at San Ysidro is 45 minutes from my front door. I avoid T.J. like the plague. Probably going to Loreto Mexico in August with
a bunch of my neighbors. I thought we would wait until it gets hot as hell to go!

I remember going for my pre-induction physical around 1971-72 and seeing all the guys passed out laying in the hallway where the blood draw was done. Walking around in your skivvies and paper shoes.Everyone should have that experience.

Morning folks :hattip:high winds today, cold air in, then warm air in, then back to normal, whatever that is. I used to be a blood donor at work, Red Cross would set it up twice a year  too many medications now, they don’t want it. Enjoy the day kids :oldglory:
