Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm currently 63 and planning on retiring in 18-19 months. I was off Wed and Thur, had a real hard time getting my crap together going back to work today. More and more, when I have days off midweek, I find it hard going back in. Retirement is going to work out well for me, I think. Yesterday, I just putzed with small chores I've been meaning to get to for months. Cleaned the interior of the truck, swapped a couple of lampholders in the basement with ones that I can plug in my LED shop lights into, took measurements and drew up plans for my rear seat delete platform. Felt good getting to them, just plugged along and all of a sudden, I noticed it was 7:30. Made a light dinner and sat around reading until bedtime.

Felt great having all day to do whatever the hell came to mind. I've heard people say they are afraid to retire, afraid they won't have enough to do. For me, I won't be looking back. Maybe the welder and chop saw will start seeing some action again!

Doing well, thanks! Recovering from 3 weeks of having family here at the house. :D Doing some small projects and planning on spending some time at the pool today. Balloon flight for this morning was weathered out - marginal winds and ground fog so postponed to tomorrow morning.

How are things up your way?

We've been hot here, too. Mid 80s for the past few days but heading back into the 90s next week. I haven't cut grass in over 3 wees now - probably will knock down the clover soon, too.

    Stay safe up there!!

Day 3 of covid. Still have the fever and I ache everywhere, very uncomfortable. Cant sleep more than an hour and then I wake up sweating and hurting. Still have a really bad headache. No coughing yet. I coughed once this morning and man did my chest hurt from that.

I think it’s safe to say I am ant free. I followed a couple and found the little bastards were nesting inside the aluminum glazing strips on the outside of one of the windows in the breakfast nook. I pulled all the glazing strips out and there was 7 different galleries of larvae. Doused everything with kill on contact poison and then kept an eye on things in the house. I kept seeing a few milling around under the hutch and used two different ant baits under the hutch and behind the fridge. Took a week but eventually there was no activity. To make sure, I set a sacrificial donut in a box on the kitchen counter and periodically checked it for ants for 3 days. It didn’t draw ants so on day 4 I ate the donut. A little stale but I considered it my victory celebration. This was all a week ago and now the trick is finding replacement glazing strips for my 30 year old windows. I found a place in Kansas that specializes in locating hard to find window and door parts and sent them a sample to see if they can match it. I’m sure this is going rock my wallet.

    Greg: Get well quickly!

I had the same routine, with Weber technical support, when I was having issues with my EX6 after Thanksgiving last year. The process took almost 4 weeks, email support is a bitch and slow. However, for my troubles I did receive 2 bags of Weber pellets during the process.

Wife and son are going out to a concert tonight, so I am om my own for dinner. Going to spatchcock a chicken and cook on the smoker. Also going to cook up a cabbage steak on the griddle. Should be a fun afternoon. I need to get out in the garden this morning to pick some produce. Should only be in the mid-80's today with partly cloudy skies and no rain.

If you’re not starting to improve a little, like @Tacoma Mike said don’t wait around, see a doctor or ER check if necessary. That chest hurting when you cough sounds a bit concerning, don’t just wait it out if you’re not improving by now good sir.

My youngest daughter, her husband and my 2 year old grandson have it now but are recovering. Grandson got over it quickly with just a runny nose.

As others have said, check with your doctor about the antivirals that are available. They are supposed to work wonders at reducing symptoms. We'll keep good vibes coming your way no matter what -- after all your turn is coming up to fill the cooler!

A little something every chance we get.
    Get better quick, @woodtickgreg !

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Well, I did get the troubleshooting done on the smoker, and Masterbuilt will send me a new harness under warranty. I kept on a little bit more, figured out how to hot wire the thing if I need. But, put it back together, and the darn thing worked! So, I might try to use it before the parts come. Took three days to get the initial email response to the case, but once I replied, I got answers back right away. Was smart enough to do the steps, and COME INSIDE IN AC to respond and wait for the next email.
And because it's so hot, the fireplace insert guys are coming today to finish adjusting it. Makes sense to me. Watering night, so I have to just putz the rest of the day, so I don't overdo! Sounds like pool time to me!

Greg, Covid is serious shit. As Mike said trouble breathing is a red flag and there are other red flags too. Your symptoms are beyond mild, they are moderate and can go to severe quickly. You really should contact a medical facility. Antiviral’s should you take them need to be prescribed within 5 days of start of symptoms. Antivirals are life savers. Again I’m certainly not telling you what to do but all of us here are concerned and just want you to recover and get back on the porch.

It’s 11:30 AM, 87 degrees in the shade with 70% humidity. I was in the garage doing the map light mod on the truck and decided it can wait. This is one of those Florida days where you sweat just standing in the shade. Supposed to hit record highs of 96-97 today. My wife has two big ribeyes in the fridge to grill tonight but I don’t know about standing over a 500 degree grill in this.

J/K ...its hot as heck here too and I'll be grilling a picanha steak (Brazilian cut). The first time I will be trying this particular cut.

My problem is I dont have a doctor, I haven't been to one in years. So I cant just call one up and say I have tested positive for covid can you prescribe something for me? Fever has let up a little bit today, but still hot and cold. I actually took a nap and got 2 hours of solid sleep instead of waking up every 20 minutes to an hour. Headache has eased up a bit. Still have body aches. I only cough every few hours and it hurts like hell when I do. I dont get a lot of phlegm up either, just hurts. I'm not having any trouble breathing my biggest complaint is the fever and aches, makes a guy feel pretty poorly.
Thanks for all your well wishes and advise.

Mine was stuffy nose., sore throat, tired. No fever for either of us.
Amazing how each of us reacts…
