6” lift without sway bar?

Currently on a 6” BDS coilover lift. My sway bar on the driver side rubs pretty heavily on my coils even at sitting ride height. I have a sway bar relocation kit that I bought a while back but never put on. Based on how much lower the relocation kit would move the sway bar down I really doubt it’s going to fully alleviate the problem.
I’m thinking it’s pretty unsafe to drive daily without a sway bar on with a 6” lift right? I’m wondering if the sway bar is adjustable, when mounting, from left to right. When I look at it, it seems if I just slid the whole thing more towards the passenger side it would clear both sides. Pictures below for reference.
    thanks

I ran daily without a sway on my old 3” lift and there was a noticeable increase in body roll, but that may have been because my coils were so soft.
I think you’re right. The fox 2.5s should handle.
    I’m doing it. Haha

I removed mine, I had the same issue it rubbed against the coil. You will notice more cab roll but , I have a full built setup and even before removing the sway bar i never took corners fast. remove it, keep it for later and you will be fine.

I have a relocation kit that I purchased a year ago. But I don’t think the kit will move the sway bar down enough to clear that coils so I’ve decided to just remove the sway bar completely.

With giving it a shot. My relocation rush came with mine cleared fine. 6” or 3” aren’t they still in the same position due to the drop bracket lift keeping the same position? Honestly not sure but I. Theory seems like it would be fine. You only need a slight amount so it clears.

Why not give it a try instead of guessing it won't work?

I mean it may not, but you have it in hand, so why not. It can't be much more effort that removing the sway anyway, and you may get to keep the truck handling better.

    What's your spring rate?

They used to come with 600LB 16" Coils back when BDS released the kit (2nd gens) Ran no sway bar helped with articulation. Like others are saying depends on your driving style (currently on 18" 700LB springs so body roll pretty minimal imo)

I’m pretty sure the coils are still 16” at 600lb but I have them cranked up a little so that might help.

Ran 18" 650LB for a bit. liked it better than bunch of pre load on the 600's. Maybe the taco lean has something to do with this? I think you said drivers side it rubs

This is my first time getting under the truck since I had the 6” installed earlier this year. The lift kit slid overlaps the factory skid so that’s already a pain getting off. Plus the new cross member blocks the two rear bolts for the factory skid AND it blocks the rear most bolts for those long brackets that connect the first cross member to the exposed box tube bar under the radiator. On top of that the installers of my lift kit stripped the heck out of two of the bolts. Haha. I also noticed that long bracket that runs front to rear that I mentioned rubs the sway bars when I’m under compression. I always wondered what that noise was. long story short, I’m glad I decided to take the sway bar off because it alleviates two rubbing areas, one of which I had no idea even existed. I’m not sure if that hidden rubbing area is poor engineering on BDS’s part or not. Even with the relocation spacers for the sway bar I would have rubbed even more in the hidden location.
the ride is buttery smooth again. Very happy with the suspension now.

In the past I've heated up sway bars and bent them. It takes a lot of force and heat but it works.

    All of them.
The brackets move it down and forward. Don't let the weekend laziness take over. Put them on and your problem will be solved.

Ah, the old " I've tried nothing to fix the problem and I'm all out of ideas!"

If removing 4 bolts and installing 8 is too much work, pulling everything you need to remove the sway bar is definitely gonna be too much
