Got some 5x5.5 wheels passed onto me and was wondering if there is a good way to put those on my 6x5.5 2015 rwd prerunner Tacoma (don’t know if those add ons factor into this). I’ve seen some adapters but the wheels are 12 wides with 12.50 tires so there’s already some poke and didn’t want to have to add even more width with spacers/adapters. What could y’all tell me that would help? Is it safe? Or should I just keep looking for true 6x5.5. Thanks in advance

I wouldn’t personally recommend it, but you would just need the proper wheel adapters. They would probably add about 1.5” of “poke”.

I dont like adapters but plenty of people use them (just not on this forum).

This scenario is a horrible idea and should be avoided. So you are wanting to install non-tacoma wheels that are not hubcentric, 12" wide wheels with 12.5 wide tires, with adapters that will add another 1.5-2" of width to make this work ?...This setup will not work on any Tacoma. There is more to it to make it work than just adapters..Sell the wheels/tires to a lifted Chevy owner.(or simply give it back to the Chevy owner that gave them to you)

So folks in Cuba make adaptations regularly.

I've ridden in this particular Lada. I don't recommend further considering your plan.

It's either going to be very expensive or janky AF.

    Now I'm curious...Pics of the wheels @B1gJack15?

Also agree that you'll spend more than you would on a new set of hubcentric wheels with the proper bolt pattern to do this the right way.
