Got eager to completely remove the AC system.

Loosened the tension on little pulley that is down and to the right of the AC compressor.

    Removed the pulley.

Realized that I can't remove the AC drive belt without removing a whole bunch of other stuff, so I cut it.

The AC compressor is still attached because I DO need to remove other things to get it out because tight clearance.

Did I just remove the idler pulley or the AC idler pulley? How bad is it continue driving without it?

---------;To summarize: AC belt is gone. A pulley that was on the same belt routing is gone. AC just sits there. I removed this IP that's on the bottom left square of this diagram: https://twstatic.net/attachments/77...b7ad6406454c7ab2dfec6540d8f8810b-jpg.2207112/ -------

I'm thinking it was just a pulley that was used to adjust AC belt tension. All I need to do is adjust the main belt tensioner to adjust the slack left behind by a disconnected AC belt. Or did I make a bigger screw up?

As an aside, from here what is the minimum I need to disassemble to wiggle the AC compressor out?

I believe that just puts tension on the AC belt, should be fine to drive it without.

I removed the intake tube and power steering pump to make room to get the AC compressor out. Don’t think there is much more to it than that.

    Good luck!
