Anyone know of a reputable 4x4 shop in the Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland area. Looking to get some quotes on a lift install and seems like rather slip pickings on shops up in this area. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a driveway/garage, just have your front struts delivered preassembled and install yourself. Should take about 8 hours for front and back. Can by yourself an entire toolset and still save money.

Also from all the posts I've seen here, $700-1000 for install is probably about right.

Appreciate the response. I feel pretty confident on doing the front coilovers as they are pre assembled. Only thing Im nervous about is doing the AAL. Seems like it can get sideways real quick lol. Might just give me an excuse to buy myself a Milwaukee Mid Torque?

The AAL was definitely a pain in the ass, but was mostly just time consuming in my experience. I think it took me about 4 hours on mine.

The coilovers were super straight forward and the biggest issue I had was getting the stupid LCA bolts back in.

Where did you find a torque spec sheet when you reassembled everything?

I think that alot of the torque specs were included in the install instructions, but I also found a thread on here with all the torque specs. I'll try to find it when I get home.

Have a couple c clamps handy. Keep the pack from springing out on ya. What AAL did you get? Technically we can do it at the dealer (I’m at team) But trust me, you do not want to pay the labor rate these days.

if I didn’t work all the time and we weren’t finishing the basement I’d say bring it by and just knock it out in the garage lol

You can find a guy on Craiglist that can't pass a drug test but can turn a wrench.

Oh there’s plenty of them out here

And I get to deal with the messes some shops/people do to peoples cars. Usually electrical.

icon progressive 3-aal I believe. Replaces the overload. I’m going to do the coil overs next week maybe I’ll just give it a shot after I finish the front suspension.

I appreciate the offer but I understand. Easy part was ordering everything it’s just finding the time to do it.

Same AAL i put on my tundra. It’s not difficult to do.
Just be sure to secure the springs with a clamp or 2 before removing the center bolt. You’ll like the ride. I’ve been impressed with the tundras ride on bilsteins and the icon AAL.

if you need assistance I’m Down the road basically. Lol

I've used them for a bunch of stuff. Better work than most any shop.
