4th gen Supersonic Red pics

I saw the color in person for the first time a few days ago. It's quite a striking color in sunlight, with a good amount of metal flake and color depth. But on the shaded side of the truck, it's like a different color and just looks like an ordinary red with no metallic visible.

Anyway, it just seemed odd there was no color thread for it. Maybe nobody here has bought this color?

 

Not sure how popular it is in regards to how many have been sold but it is a great looking color...
Just takes that special person that can visualize its potential.....

Don’t know why but Toyota produces very few red Tacomas, even Barcelona red on the 3rd gens was impossible to find in large numbers

 

Toyota does ship lots of red Tacomas to San Diego.

The red was rare when I was buying but the test drive that decided I didn't want that color convinced me I wanted a long bed similar if not same as the white one I have. It is indeed very nice but I did not want a rig that stands out as much as it did on that sunny day.

 

I must've lucked out. Got exactly the one I wanted, i.e. almost zero dealer installed fluff, right here in Philly

You deff lucked out, I went with white my 2nd favorite color because red was nowhere to be found back in June

 

My cousin's significant other has a red SR5. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a single other red one in the wild around here, and 4G Tacos aren't exactly like hen's teeth in my neck of the woods.

 

I love the red. I drove 5 hrs to pick it up in August.

I like it it in the sun. It really pops. In the shade it's brick red fugly imo. I miss radiant red.

 

I’ll be trading my Radiant Red ‘06 for a SS Red ‘25, when it arrives. I saw the red in quite a few Tundras’ in the lot, and loved it, sun, shade or covered. But I like red as a color to start with . Waiting a little longer for the right ride.

 

Not 1 but 2 of those "rare" supersonic reds at my local dealership right now…
Was also cool to see a pro and a trail hunter side-by-side on the lot, ready to roll…
Trail hunter in bronze, pro in underground…

Here is my 24 Offroad Super Sonic Red with the following specs: wescottt precolor lift, Icon compression wheels in gunmetal color with a +25 offset, and KO3s 315/70/17, and TRD OEM skidplate. I posted the picture a couple of months back in one of the other forums but I figured I would share it in the offical Super Sonic red thread.
