4th Gen Solar Octane Club!

I don't see this posted yet and since I just put down my deposit, I'll start!

 

I also have a deposit down for a solar octane. Off-road 6MT

 

Nice, a MT Solar Octane will probably turn out to be a pretty rare model! I was thinking about a 6' bed but I don't want to wait two more months to get it. I think that would be a rare one as well.

 

Same here! Had a brief stint with a 2023 solar octane manual pro but sold it and planning to go 2024 Solar Octane manual TRD off-road. I did also open the option of Bronze oxide, so I’ll end up with that if it allocates first. Prefer Solar Octane though!

Yeah I told my dealer if it ends up being a long time for solar octane I’d happily take Underground. Apparently no bronze oxide in Canada for Off-roads, too bad, as I love that colour.

 

No bronze oxide from what I've been told for a hot minute, my truck was originally that color then switched to underground as there were issues with the paint at the factory.

 

I have a '16 sport in inferno. Anyone seen a side by side comparison of the colors?

 

Solar Octane is a brighter orange. I personally like Inferno better.

 

I have a Solar Octane coming too! Off Road with just the 14 inch screen and heated seats. Blackout emblems too.
It is supposed to be built the last week in February!

 

We just went to look at one at a dealership that was in solar octane, only one around us that had one on the lot. Wish I had gotten more pictures, especially from the side, but instantly fell in love. Had the XP blackout package and all black interior, looked really sharp. Not in the market for one now, but maybe in a year or two.

A little over 51k. Came with a lot of upgrades, though.

 

51k is what the website says. Did you actually ask them? I was wondering if the tacked on another $5k.

 

I did, we actually sat down and discussed it. $51k out the door is what they were asking.

 

That’s interesting. I’m surprised they would eat over $3000 in sales taxes. Thank you.

 

Yeah, me too, lol. It was nice to finally be able to see one in person. I think in a year or two when we’re ready to make the plunge and it’s not in the first model year, that will be the exact truck I’d want. Hopefully solar octane is still around then, badass color.
