Ouch. He's not wrong. Build quality comments are particularly biting.
Toyota has lost its way with these halo trims.
Not sure where I'll go with my next truck.

Wait… the isodynamic functionality of the seat-backs takes up legroom? This is news to me, thank god someone is reporting on the lack of legroom! I almost bought one and then decided against it because of this!

    /s

I would have liked to see him mention the rear brake lines.

TRD Skid plate having to be removed for service is a big issue to me. I wonder if I can cut a circle into it for the filter.

I'm not sure the axles being unpainted matters. The stab disconnect / drain plug location thing is kinda unimportant... So is the finish on the driveline and stuff... It's a truck, and I don't drive my Tacoma upside-down. But sure, they are fair points... I guess. My 4x4 switch feels fine and I think he overplayed that.

I like Amd and his channel has great content.

He wasn't impressed with the TRD Pro. I wonder if anyone at Toyota takes notice of his review?

I’m sure the Toyota USA PR department summarizes all media every week. You can bet they take notice.

He is a brave man. I hope he makes lots of YouTube money.

An honest assessment from a qualified technician who loves Toyotas, and obviously isn’t afraid of not getting invited to the next Toyota party (hello, Jon?).

I looked at a Pro a couple weeks ago. He’s spot on regarding the paint quality on the flares. If you pay $70k for one of these, immediately after completing the paperwork, you should schedule an appointment to have it refinished. Toyota should just go with unpainted.

I watched Jon's last video, he refuses to say anything truly negative about the brand. I like how he's disguising his dumping of his 3rd gen Tundra for a 2nd gen as "lowering debt ratio for a potential real estate purchase", the dude went from financing one to another and not really gaining a significant debt reduction anyone can see through that nonsense.

I know everyone keeps saying its just new gen hate, but there is a noticable difference in every 4th gen I drove in quality of components and build quality. You definitely get the sense after seeing the small things people are noticing and issues creeping up that Toyota is resting on its name while charging a premium.

So this is in a Lexus. It’s a car engine.
Also this is an expense nightmare, from initial cost to repairs after warranty.
He doesnt like it, especially build quality. Ive been saying these are too expensive also.
Funniest part was the vibrating hood.
    Good luck.

Spoiler alert! He absolutely hates the seats, excessive TRD badging, flimsy hood, and removable speaker.

The seats really should have been an option, as others have said. Most really don’t want seats with suspension, and that’s only running up the price.

I saw 88Rotors delivery and review of his, it's bad when you see it from POV.

For some reason he annoys the hell out of me. I tried watching a few of his Tacomas vids before buying and I was done.

100%. I think you’ve owned enough Tacoma’s to qualify as a fleet customer, so I’ll take your your opinion over a YouTube performer, err…real estate investor…

Like his style or not, AMD shouldn’t be the only one on YouTube to methodically point out what anyone here could easily see after ten minutes on a dealer’s lot. The quality is sub-par for the crazy MSRP’s. If someone is a true fan of Toyota, this stuff should piss them off.

His cameras are good, and the final video quality is good, but I’m not thrilled with his delivery.
