How are they going to make a camper shell look good on the new tacos? That spoiler at the rear of the cab is going to make designing something aesthetically pleasing difficult in my opinion.

Any thoughts or any CGI renditions out there?

Thanks in advance and cheers from Halifax, Nova Scotia!

Yeah can’t say I’m a fan. I like the seamless colour match look personally

I was mostly sending the link so you could see how makers will get around the roof issue.

With how many Tacomas are sold each year, I’m sure someone will make a fiberglass one that is jigsawed to fit that new aero slab on the top of the cab. Shame that that piece is probably not easy to remove—it’s function is diminished if there’s a shell anyway.

I was passed on I-94 west of Ann Arbor by a 4th gen Tacoma on Friday- it was doing 80 at least, so I didn't want to chase it in my turtle-slow 4Runner. It had an M plate on it (Toyota has research centers around here) but it also had an AluCab style cap on it. I'm sure there will be many options out there.

Will current campers/shells fit on 4th gens?

I don't think that has been determined yet, but l would guess no because of the cab spoiler.

Even if it physically fit, which I doubt, my cap has an inverse lip on it. So the 4th gen cab has a lip that sticks back, and my 3rd gen cap has a lip that goes forward lol.

    It'd look wild IMO.

With an indent to clear the spoiler similar to a Chevy,

According to GFC, not even close.
