So I'm 44 and I just had my first cavity filled. To be quite honest I was a little nervous but it was no big deal at all. Took maybe 30 mins tops from the time the shots were given to the end. The whole side of my face is still numb and feels a bit strange but it was one of the easier things that I have done in reality.

    Just thought I would share.

I'm half your age with no cavities, so now my goal is to make it to 44. Good work!

I just got a cavity filled yesterday.. weird. Mine was almost to the root, so I got a temp filling with meds in it.. gotta go back in 6 weeks to get a permanent one. My face was numb for about 3- 4 hrs.

I was worried this was a post about some other cavity and some other procedure. You know...because of the age.

Anyway, good work with the tooth brushing and stuff.

Haha.... I already had that done when I turned 40 (colon cancer runs in the family). That is MUCH worse than getting your tooth drilled on;)
