I already ordered a rough country 4 inch kit which is a drop bracket deal. Seems to be an emotional topic for some people but I wana see pics of people flexin these types of suspensions out! pics and/or feedback from experience. I'm curious.

Not many folks here have a rough country setup.

The issue with drop brackets is they are hard to return to stock (YMMV).

Get a refund and buy something other than a drop bracket lift.

Yep I have heard that when it comes to suspension parts - but I will admit I really like my RC seat covers and the RC mollie whatever you call them on the inside of the bed of my truck - cheap price wise but quality seems OK . . . . . so far.

You do know that the axle line is not changed, right? As in it's still the low point when clearances are important.

    These threads are always comedy:rofl:

OP, have a look through here. You'll find all sorts of pics and ideas for tweaks you can do to your new lift (rear lift springs to replace the blocks, coilover front shocks, etc.):
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fabtech-procomp-6-lift-or-more-pictures.43093/
(you should start to find 3rd-gen Taco discussion around page 600, 605, somewhere thereabouts, though it's all pretty much identical to 2nd-gen as well)
Keep in mind 4" and 6" kits have the same brackets and knuckles, so you can always bump it up a bit more than 4" if you ever decide to later on (and your CV joints and steering rack will still be fine with it).

Be sure to save the part from your frame, that piece is the key that makes it easy to put things back to stock if you ever so desire (without it though, then yeah things get much more difficult).

    Hope that helps.

For sure keeping that crossmember piece. I've done a lot of research and have been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these lifts for a while now. I'm running OME front 2" lift coilovers and rough country rear leaf springs and love the combo but at the end of the day these trucks just aren't tall enough for my preference. I've ran rough country lifts on 2 of my square body chevys and my wifes jeep and they do just fine. customer service is also great. The BDS kit is awesome with those fox shocks too but she's spendy. Thankyou by the way I'll check it out.

Yeah BDS would probably be my 1st recommendation... Rough Country however seems to have come a long ways since the old days of ball-joint spacers and drop-down steering centerlinks w/extra idler arms lol. RC still ain't perfect (a lot of their welds stop a bit short of where they should), but if you know what to do with it, it can be decent (it's one of few (if not the only) DB kits that will allow fitting 16" wheels).

Look into the Rough Country Vertex coilovers. They seem to get decent reviews overall.

Yeah I like their leaf packs a lot. Can't beat them for the price though they're a bit on the stiff side. I wana see if I can keep my emu coils and supplement a 2 inch spacer. I ordered just the standard N3 lifted coilover. So we'll see how that goes... I'll post pics when I've got it on the trail.

It's not emotional, it makes for an objectively inferior performing truck than a proper lift if installed correctly, and a horrendous experience if done poorly.

I'M BACK! so a long time went by and I just had this entire suspension kit just sitting in the yard covered in a tarp because I have no storage space and now it's the dead of winter in the mountains of Colorado so I took my truck to my buddy's shop and installed the kit which like 4 days by myself with a floor jack which was a pain in the ass. I tried to use my old man emu heavy rate coils on the rough country shocks and I could not compress the spring enough to properly install it so I'm running the regular factory rate coil springs and ended up running an inch and a half spacer on top of it because with the extra 150 lb on the nose the suspension was sagging to where the CV axles were actually inverted which looks retarded and I could not live with myself. I have to go to Denver for any types of services which is a 3-hour drive so I got there to get an alignment and the factory tie rods were good but it turns out the adjustment jam nut doohickey was completely seized on both sides so I cut it off with a death wheel when I got home and put on 555 Japanese inners and outers. I thought about going factory Toyota tie rods which are allegedly the best but I couldn't stomach that price. the 555 stuff seems good quality so we'll see. it's hilarious when I got the truck 2 years ago It had fancy Bilstein remote reservoir shocks and coils which blew out over time so then I got old man emu coilovers with rough country rear lift springs, which are fantastic by the way. factory Tacoma leaf springs are wimpy. but now I'm literally running all rough country which is kind of bottom of the barrel stuff and I gotta say it rides the best it's ever ridden. I doubt the cheap shocks will last 60,000 miles but we'll see. in the front I'm at probably 5 in of lift and 5 1/2 in the rear so I've probably got an inch and a half 2 in of rake. eventually maybe this summer I'll try to get those emu coils on the rough country shocks to see if that works. the emu coils are like two and a half inches taller so I don't know if it'll work at all but I'd like to run those and maybe ditch the spacer. I don't know if any of you guys have experimented with coil springs like this but let me know I'm interested in your experience. I think now with 285 75 16s it has like the perfect stance and I'm less worried about getting body damage when I'm driving through rocks n such. I'll get rock sliders someday... not to mention now it has an engine skid plate and a front diff skid. I've ran rough country lifts on square body Chevys in the past and they do all right. I also appreciate how beefy the new knuckles are compared to factory. eventually in the summertime when I take it off-roading I'll do a review or something maybe even make a YouTube video which I've never done before. it's hard to find good solid info on these types of kits with actual off-roading. it's like Bigfoot. I believe he's real but I've never seen him lol. I have seen some guys actually off-roading the BDS kits but that's about it. victory motors I think it is. also I'm not running a sway bar. I ditched that thing over a year ago and never looked back.Snapchat-1225607886.jpg
