Yes. Gadget wants me to verify the cam gears were installed properly.
In the mean time I've removed the 5.7 tundra tb (76mm) and put a single vvti (65mm) back in. I did this due to URDs site saying it's difficult for the larger TB to calibrate correctly. It ran normal and less lean for a couple days but now it starts to sputter @ 3k rpms and throws an obdll code for bank 2 #1.

Being that the 76mm has no gasket between the back of the TB to adapter, silicone or other needs to be used during installation. Otherwise an extremely high probability of a vacuum leak will exist.

In the S/C Tips and Tricks thread, the method to make 76mm act more appropriately, is discussed.

Still having issues. I put the 76mm back on and and sealed it well against the adapter. I adjusted the allen screw one turn
Well its been a while since my last update. Im getting at my wits end. I've completely redone the exhaust deleting all cats. I've gone back to the ikh24s gapped to .32", replaced fuel pump, filter and fuel injectors. I've replaced all the 02 sensors, efi relay, fuel pump relay, maf sensor, pcv valve. Since i was basically stage two with the exhaust i went ahead and got a 75mm pully and got in touch with Scott for the programming. He said its burning a bit hot (my charge air was 113) but that was also the temp outside being in Arizona. I haven't done a coolant temp sensor and the thermostat is from 2015 when the kit was installed. Operation temp is normal.
My issue is a missfire. I reset the battery, let the Ultragauge scan and do its thing and fire it up. If i feather the throttle and hold it between 1500 and 2000rpm sitting in neutral the Ultragauge will show pending codes p2198 (bank2#1 obdll stuck rich) and p2241(bank2#1 obdll short circuit). When my check engine light actually comes on the Ultragauge tells me trouble code p0300. Only a couple times has it isolated specific cylinders, most recently was p302 and p304. So i tried to swap coil packs 2 and 4 with packs 1 and 3 but again its now only saying p0300 and not specific cylinders. Ive got even 180 compression on all 6 and a friend of mine and myself hooked up a manual boost guage to determine its building boost. It is at 8-10 lbs @ around 5500rpm. My friend thinks i should just replace all my coil packs since thats about all i haven't done yet and if thats not it then he thinks its something with my ucon not sending the right signals to the ecu. I've been working my ass off trying to get ready for hunting season. I had plans to head out for four days starting this friday and my registration just ran out the 30th. I tried to run it through emissions last friday but she was rejected do to not enough driving enough after all this work.
Plus.....while checking the boost i disintegrated my throwout bearing so in the process of all this bs ive managed to get a stage two clutch, heavy flywheel, throwout bearing sleeve repair kit and a core shifter all installed. Everything is complete badassery except this damn missfire.
I need some love....any suggestions? I haven't checked my cam gears yet and i think i may expose the ucon and ecu to check all the wiring and connections there as well. Could the ultragauge and ucon not be working properly together?

My best bet is something with the UCON. Try driving around without boost. See if the code still pops. If if does, pull the UCON, you may have to swap back in stock injectors, and drive around without going into boost. If it doesn't pop again, it is something with the UCON.

That is a simple test. If proven, it is 1, free, and 2 they will most likely send you another one.

Except I'd have to buy factory injectors to try it. Ive thought of pulling the rotrex and seeing what happens.

Can you do a datalog and catch the code, perhaps?

That would be extemely beneficial as well.

I know in the years past, there was an issue with the UCON causing coil pack related problems. Pretty sure that has been well researched and corrected by them, by this point.

Being that you have codes, you seriously need to contact URD tech support.

How do i do a datalog? Thanx Tor. I have been in contact for a long time with Gadget and Scott. We've been round and and round and thats how I've made it to stage two thus far. I've had these codes occurring here and there since i bought the truck 1 1/2 years ago. It seems like the more i advance the more finiki it gets but same problem. I started with 02s and cats and found a bad manifold cat. So i thought i was on the right track but here we are.

They have to give you the lite software to be able to remote access in and clean up the tune. Once you have that software, you are then able to datalog.

They only give it out, if there is a problem reported by the owner.

They being URD? I've done several remote sessions with Scott in the past and have the program for that. Are you referring to another?

Ok good. Then you have the program. Need to clear the CEL, then do a start datalog while driving. With aims to have the CEL pop while the datalogging is active.

In the program, the option to datalog should be somewhere on the left of the screen. Going off of old memories. The gents in this thread

In post #53 you said do a datalog while driving. I know exactly how to get the cel to pop up sitting in neutral. Reg. expired 5 days ago. I will drive if your saying it should be under load but can i do it just sitting?

Hey JohnQ, what ever came of this? Were you able to swap out the camshaft timing gear assembly with the pan still attached?
I'm in the same predicament. I had already posted on a different/similar thread regarding this issue, so I won't add a redundant post.
    See it HERE
