Looking to have a common place for the infamous "anvil" of a motor, the 3RZ-FE 2.7L 4 cylinder. Hoping to share mods and good maintenance. Please share experiences and current projects along with any helpful resources you have found.

Please post photos and discussion on work done on your engine to enhance, protect, and prolong (or attempts to blow it up).

    Good job detailing the engine.
I suggest flusing the brake fluid or at least use a turkey baster to suck the old fluid out and fill with fresh DOT3/4.

I'll second the valve lash checks! This is probably the most overlooked, but one of the most critical maintenance issues with this motor.

Agreed, agreed. Its not too bad of a process. Just need attention to detail, the right tools, and a good bit of patience. You get into a rhythm after the first 3-4 dropped shims. Just be careful not to drop anything into the timing chain abyss.

I have an original TRD Alpine 3RZ-FE supercharger made in South Africa.

It has a PLX DM6 AFR gauge and a Speedhut Boost gauge, and I’m finishing up the Methanol Injection by AEM.

    plot twist: it’s still slow

    Bartmaster, say it ain't so!!!

You're supercharger install and truck build has given me so much inspiration and you're dashing all those dreams to the dirt with that comment

Plot twist: doesn't matter, still gunna send it cause I love inline 4cyl motors more than I love going fast. Or more than any other motor style... minus air cooled single cylinder 2 stroke motors
