    Does anyone know of a company that makes roll cage kits for 3rd gens or would I have to get one custom fabbed

    A full external/structural roll cage would be more ideal. That way body is protected.as well.

    Yea good for crawling the plan is to build this truck to be a go fast desert toy so I was thinking more prerunner style cages. (or go as fast as that poor 3.5 allows lol) not doing anything crazy yet was just curious to see if anything’s out there

    Dirt Lifestyle on YouTube has a video about fabbing an internal roll bar for his taco. I’m not sure which video though.

    those only attach to the bed right? not sure that would really protect anything. it would just collapse the bed in a roll over

    No. They go all throughout the cab and tie into the frame and sometimes a bed cage if you have one. Also makes the truck very rigid and more connected
