Good luck with that one, I would love if you can find a way to make it work. I picked up the switch from a Highlander last year, but the wiring plug was completely different. The Highlanders with only front auto use the same switch as our trucks, so it seems for some reason the full auto changed to a totally different plug. I kinds of stopped back at that point since I didn’t really want to hack up the wiring.

Well I’m just waiting for my Vender to Source out enough of the switches. Once he has them, he is going to give me a quote. He’s hoping tomorrow night. Right now they have 20.

Check out the Toyota Hilux and Toyota Fortuner. The Toyota Hilux is basically the Toyota Tacoma just in two different countries. I get most mine from the Hilux.

Well I finally have some good news on my truck. The part has finally shipped and it should be to the dealership on Friday. I’m hoping I will have my truck this weekend after being without it for two months waiting for this back ordered part to come in. Therefore, it looks like this install will be taking place very soon :bananadance:

Here’s a little info on the Automatic Rear Powered Windows...

I purchased the Toyota Hilux Vigo Fortuner 1PC Auto Up/Down Windows for Passengers off of EBay. Here’s some pics...

    FDF8F507-00B6-48A8-AC86-D62356C60B91.jpg

Here is a pic of one of mine still in the package (you only need two of these BTW)...

    1492AAEC-104D-48B2-806F-B7D733E53B7E.jpg

Here is a install video on how this actually works Plug-N-Play...

    https://youtu.be/NVdvhN-Ikkg
I purchased the Toyota Hilux Revo Double Cab Power Window Master Control Switch for Right Driver because I want to replace my OEM Non-Auto Window Switches with OEM Auto Switches. It was a lot cheaper to get this than it was to purchase the OEM Auto Switches individually.

    19AD3BE7-5C41-4EC8-87D8-C02D725B6D81.jpg

Now I will have enough OEM Auto Switches to replace my two Rear Window Switches and the two Rear Window Switches in the Driver’s Master Window Control Panel.

    Silly question...

I know for sure the 3 in the drivers door need the switches, but do all the other doors need them as well right?

What do you mean? Like do you have to actually switch out the switches for the Auto Switches? I do not believe you have to do that at all. I just did that because of my OCD.

    Just for aesthetics?

By the way, how much was the control switch assembly?

I will have to check but my vendor gets me them at a discount. If people are interested, I could probably look into sourcing these parts and putting another kit together. :) You only need two of them because our Front Passenger Window is already Automatic.

Yes. I did it for aesthetics. If you watch the video, he is able to operate his window with his regular switch after he plugs the module into the OEM Connector.

Well I have some good news...pricing is coming in tonight for the kit for sure. I will get pricing tomorrow or Saturday for the New Switch Panel. My plan is to purchase 20 sets first and see how they sell. After that, if they sell well, I will place a big bulk order!

I already volunteered as a local guinea pig, but just for clarity I’m IN on the initial batch if I haven’t been beaten to the first 20.

I am in also. I have been wanting to do this on my own for awhile but didnt even know where to start. If there is a list, put me on it!

I have been patiently waiting since Katie had hinted she was working on this in another thread.

Well I worked on some wiring last night with the Adjuster Actuator. If you have gone over my walk-through of when I took apart my OEM Mirror, you will remember that in order to remove the Adjuster Actuator from the Mirror itself, I had to make a cut to the four OEM Wires. It was either cut the four OEM Wires or take the time to remove the Pins from the OEM Connector and then pull the four wires out of the OEM Wire Harness and through the Mirror Housing. I'm not sure exactly why these Mirrors were manufactured this way, but to me this was a huge flaw. Therefore, I decided to purchase some JST Connectors and install them to make it look OEM, but also to have it be like it should have been in the beginning. Check it out...

    2.jpg

    3.jpg

    4.jpg

    5.jpg

With this now complete, if I ever need to remove the Adjuster Actuator again for some, there will be absolutely no cutting needed. Just simply disconnect the JST Connector and the Adjustment Actuator will be able to be removed right away. So much more convenient and functional.

Now to the big time stuff...

    My Ultimate Side Mirror Build

    Rigid Ignite Ditch Lights!!!

    77.jpg

The next little fun project I did revolved around mounting my NEW Ditch Lights. The original idea came from @LaPewPew, then @mesojdm was the first to actually implement the mod into his ULTIMATE SIDE MIRRORS, and now I believe @20tacoma17 has recently taken over modding side mirrors and installing the Ditch Lights for those that are interested. I took a hack at it myself last night with my own Rigid Ignite (Flood) Surface Mounted Set. It is not complete yet as I still need to cut the circle in the Outside Mirror Cover but I was able to use my Dremel to make the mounting location.

With the OEM Mirror Turn Signal / Lower Panel Piece having that little cutout already, it was like it was made for that area. I just tried to match it up with that location. Plus, with the Motor in that other location, I wasn't able to follow the other Ditch Light Builds as my Mirrors are now different and do not allow for me to cut on the other side of that divider. However, I just moved it to the other side and what do you know...It's fits perfectly! Next up, I will be attempting to cut the circle out of the Outside Mirror Cover :)
