hey everyone, I'm looking at a used TG rear tube bumper for a 3rd gen pickup. And I'm trying to find measurements to see if it will fit around the box on my 1st gen properly but I can't. Has anyone done this or have more knowledge in this. Thanks

Not gonna fit without significant modifications. The bed is different size, the frame rails are a different spacing, mounting points are probably different, etc. You could probably cut it all up and reassemble it to make it fit, but I'm guessing that's not what you're after.
2nd and 3rd gen tacos are way different than our trucks, especially the back end.

Haha yeah thanks guys, I figured so, cause with front bumpers and maybe a back bumper that doesn't wrap around all you have to do is cut mounts in most cases right? But yeah it will not be worth it to Frankenstein it.

Keep in mind he is asking about "pickups" not "tacomas"...atleast thats what im gathering, i may be wrong? But if this is the case the fitment would be fairly close, idk fur sure but it would certainly be closer than a 2nd or 3rd gen taco.

Ah, didn't catch that. This is tacomaworld after all, I figured when you said 3rd gen you were talking about one of those fugly piles of crap. What year is the truck it's on? My buddy has a '91 (no idea what gen that is) that we built a bumper for, I can measure the frame dimensions if it's a similar year.
