3rd Gen Maintenance Maps - Get 300k+ miles

So I have a 2019 TRD Off-Road but in just 4x2. Is there anything I need to grease under the truck or is everything sealed? Does anyone know?

 

I always recommend checking the rear shaft yourself. It may be sealed, but it may not be.

 

drive shaft has no zerks in 4x2
4x4 only front shaft
After 2019 they are both sealed

I am back in a Taco after selling my 07 a few years back. I picked up a 2016 TRD OR MT in November with 55k. Truck is in great shape. It is seeping a little from the timing cover, which I of course didn’t notice until later. Just watching for now.

I do have a question I didn’t see in the thread. Do you worry about retorquing the drive shaft bolts as stated in the manual every 15k? Seems like I remember reading somewhere it was a carryover from prior years and not really necessary now. I can’t find many good how tos for this, maybe because it’s not done much.

Hey brother! Sorry for the late response. So yes... we are supposed to be retorquing our driveshaft bolts... I am guilty of rarely doing so and never mentioning it in video. I'll get to it soon enough! Welcome back to the Tacoma platform!
