Hello TW, I was wondering if anyone knows what color the positive wire for the low beams are?

I recently bought VLED triton v6 switchbacks for my front turn signals and it requires me to tap into the low beam positive wire to dim. I searched many of the threads but couldn’t find anything. Any help would be appreciated!

Too funny! I literally just went thru this same install and was looking for the info by searching on and off since the lights would not dim. My issue turned out to be a bad solder that looked fine.

Of note, an older VLED switchback thread had someone installing these incorrectly state they only dim 10% with 90% brightness remaining when headlights are on. Actually its the exact opposite. They dim significantly and do not cause annoying glare at night.

May do a product write up but a word to the wise. Avoid these homebrew LED switchback "kits" that lack any type of directions, full wiring kit and don't do returns, even on items/,kit unused.

They do dim at least 50% but when using the dim wire off the Vled v-6 triton bulb you will get hyper flashing of the turn signal but only when the headlights are on go figure. I got an email into VLeds to figure out how to correct this as the resistors they sell don’t correct this they actually just cancel out the turn flasher...it only flashes once wether the headlights are on or not with the resistor. So I just disconnected the dimmer wire and everything works as it should I just can’t dim the turn signal DRL...I’ll wait to see what they say.

Right on, thanks man! Lmk what VLED says about the hyper flash with the headlights on. I think I might just run it with the hyper flash until they give an answer lol

Will do...I’m running led headlights on the low beams so that may be part of the problem...Lmk if you have the same issue. Like I said turn signals and hazards work perfectly except when the headlights are on they hyperflash. Turn headlights off no issues...weird. If I disconnect the dimmer wire from the switch backs turn headlights on no issues.

Yeah I’ll let you know if I run into the same problem. I’m running hids in my headlights so I’ll see if I have the same problem.
It’s weird that it only has problems when the headlights are on and the dimmer wire is connected.

Looks sick bro!! How does it look at night? Bright enough to run just fogs and DRL’s?

It’s like the stage 2 tails except for front DRL turn instead of a reverse turn

Must be the addition of low beam LEDS causing the hyper flash issue. With headlights on have no hyperflash and they dim as designed.

That’s what I thought...it being the low beam LEDs...I spoke with VLeds today and they said no the headlight leds shouldn’t affect it. Anyway their electrical engineer wants to know why so they gave me a few tests to do and I have to report back...I’m going to put the stock headlights bulbs back in and see if it’s good.

They are bright but the light doesn’t project forward enough to use as headlights...for me it’s just accent lighting

I have a question not sure it would really matter but...when you hooked up the dim wire(s) from the v-6 triton switchbacks did you connect both dim wires to one headlight or each dim wire to each headlight?
